My 16th birthday
I usually get very sad when my birthday approaches. There is something so dreadful about my own birthday. I know I am not the only one. Lots of people understand the way I felt about it. I have to say, my last few birthdays kind of sucked. Last year my friends pissed me off terribly and I wasn't sure if I wanted to invite them this year. Everything seemed helpless few days before my birthday. I wanted to go to east point, because it has lots of great attractions and fun places. My mom wasn't sure about that, since east point is very far away and going there with six kids seemed hard. But after some talking, she agreed to take us there. The day before my birthday my friends were talking about gifts and we're asking what to get me. Something so interesting about my friends is that they always get me things that I want or need. I will talk about the gifts later on, I am so grateful for them.My birthday started on 1am, when my mom unexpectedly woke me up, with a raspberry tart that had a small candle on it. I could barely open my eyes, but it was such a good surprise. After few hours, it finally came time to wake up and go to school. I put on my new skirt and tights, with my striped cami and and a white bolero and of course, some glitter. When I got to school, there was no one there, like usual (since I mostly get there early). After that my friends slowly started coming. Every time they came, I gave each of them a small cupcake/muffin shaped invitation cards that I made for them. The invitation cards were specifically made for each one of them, so they were different shapes, colors and with different drawings. My first friend brought me a super nice perfume, it smells really good. My second friend gifted me a huge scarf that is a very cute color and Lana del Rey prints, she also came in with a box, which I didn't question nor get curious about. My third friend brought me glittery markers, a jumbo paper clipper thingy, a glittery paper stickers and a glittery locket. My fourth friend got me a lip oil, lip gloss and a lip conditioner, they all smell really good. My fifth friend gave me some money and a cute wallet. About the box that my second friend brought, she later came in with it opened. It was pastrys with candles on them. I had no idea or suspicion that my friends were doing that for me. It was so sweet. I have to admit I froze in place when they came in class with that box. I am not the best in these sort of situations honestly but I still appreciated it a lot. After we ate the pastries, my friends wrote things for me on the box. So I cut off the part with the writing and I took it home, at the end of the day. Two of my teachers said happy birthday to me and luckily we didn't write the history test that day (we wrote it this Friday and I think I did very well). After school ended two of my friends went home to leave their stuff. My mom and rest of my friends went to my aunt's salon and left our stuff there. I for some reason, thought that my aunt said happy birthday, apparently she didn't and she didn't even remember that it was my birthday. She got suspicious and asked my mom if it was my birthday and my mom lied to her and said no. Later that day my aunt did call me and congratulated me. That was honestly so funny. After we all got together, we went to the subway and got to our destination. One of my friends said that she had a quick online meeting to attend and that she would come later on. After we got to the destination we got on the bus. Four of us were squished together in there. Then we finally got to east point. We all decided that it would be better if we ate first so that I wouldn't pass out on rides. Before our food came the last friend came too. So all of us are and then finally went to the fun attractions.
I got the hard and we started having fun. First thing we did was, getting in the place where you sit in front of the big screen and shoot zombies and such things. First time my we played the medieval one and my friend won, the second time we played carnival version and I won. It was super fun. After that I put my friends in the red box. Red box is basically a box where you sit and it sort of stimulates being on a roller coaster. I put four of my friends in that box. I myself didn't get in it, because I wasn't sure if my body could handle being flipped upside down, especially because I was having a headache few minutes before that. It was so funny watching them in there though. After that we sat in the small cars. It was really fun. My friends kept trying to hit me and at some point we got stuck twice. After that I think we played tiny shooting games and some other small games. My friends also, somehow found a balloon and they played with it for few minutes. I also tried to get a unicorn plushie from a the claw machine. But of course the claws on jose machines suck. And no it wasn't a skill issues because I perfectly positioned the claw and it literally grabbed it but since those claws are so weak, I couldn't grab it. But that's okay. After we had great fun, two of my friends left with their moms. Me, my mom and four of my friends called the taxi and like the first time, we all squished in there. After that we all said our goodbyes and went home. I was so happy. It was such a great birthday and I am so grateful to my mom and friends. I don't think I can express enough how happy and grateful I was. I just hope that new years will be just as great and I hope I can make others feel the same happiness I felt on my birthday this year. That's all. Thank you for reading!!
Bye bye.
